Hard work in a nutshell: As we have read until now that hard work means to focus and not deviating from the goal and work in such a way that the goal is achieved by all means.

To explain this better a suitable example would that of a student.

A student in the exams who want to score more marks and get a certain number of percentage or ranking then he/she will make a schedule for studying and dedicate most of the time to studies. This mindset is because he /she wants to achieve a good score, percentage or ranking.

Due to this they often tend to focus more on studying and less on other activities. As much as studies are important its also necessary to give oneself a break in between to have an overall development.

Hard work will no doubt help you achieve your desired goals but sometimes it’s better to work smart rather than work hard.

Smart work in a nutshell: We might have often heard people saying don’t work hard but work smart. By this, they mean that while working do things that will make work fun and easy and at the same time complete the task or work that was needed to be done.

To explain this in a better way, let consider the same example as above of a student but this time the student is not a hard worker rather he/she likes working smartly. Now you may be wondering how can the student study in a smart way. You will know as you read further.

The student who works smart often end up scoring more marks and are good at various activities as well cause they give enough time to both things. These students don’t keep studying rather they make notes and points which are easy to understand and can be grasped quickly.

They often highlight the important parts for reference and read about it later before the exam. This way they know most of the things and have studied enough to write in their way.

Due to this way of studying they often spend time in other activities like learning to swim, playing an instrument or learning a language skill and so on. These students often like doing more than one thing at a time and are good at both studies and extra circular activities.

As you may have understood by now that hard work and smart work are two sides of a coin which is like saying work hard and smart. You need to have both to achieve the perfect blend of workflow and a greater sense of understanding. Even if you try one of them something will lack in the other.

So hard work vs smart work is nothing but a way to say that work hard and smart. Hope you liked what you read and let us know your thoughts on hard work and smart work. Which one do you prefer after reading about it, hard work? smart work? Or both!
